How a little book about hating men sparked a firestorm in France: Pauline Harmange's book debuted last summer, selling fewer than 400 copies. But in just under a year, the book has become an international sensation with translation rights sold in over a dozen languages. In a new interview, Garmange shares her story and discusses evolving feminist attitudes, and why we need a more frank approach to sexism and gender violence. > Full Story

Chinese feminists are circumventing censorship through emoji: From WeChat diaries to coded slang, an online feminist community thrives in China despite all odds. > Full Story

Katrine Marçal is a Swedish writer, journalist, and author of the forthcoming book "Mother of Invention: How Good Ideas Get Ignored In An Economy Built For Men." Her work often explores feminist takes on business/economics, and she's recently started her own newsletter “Wealth of Women.” We've just subscribed and are already loving it! Katrine will also be hosting a free event on Feb 12th with Koa Beck on race, empowerment, and inclusion. Koa Beck is a writer and former editor-in-chief of Jezebel, whose new book “White Feminism” boldly examines the history of feminism, from the true mission of the suffragettes to the rise of corporate feminism with clear-eyed scrutiny and meticulous detail. Since the dawn of the suffrage movement, innumerable queer women have played a key role in the battle for women’s rights. From suffrage songs to today’s pop hits, how do queer female musicians share messages about justice, equality, and change? How are modern artists informed by the past, and how does their music imagine a more equitable future? Activist and musician Hayley Kiyoko explores these questions in an online event with NY Times.

Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos is known internationally for feminist sculptural work exploring the personal and collective histories of women. Her art celebrates women's labor, exposes societal biases, and interrogates gender roles though playful sculptures. Take a virtual tour through her first U.S. solo exhibition!

About 90% of the people who write Wikipedia are men. A brilliant team of women are rewriting Wikipedia to make sure that we have a place in biggest collection of knowledge in human history.

....is integrating disability into your feminist discourse and activism!! Here's a great place to start:

  • Read Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories From the Twenty-First Century by Alice Wong. The Book collects a wide range of disabled voices in a vital, intersectional anthology. You'll read essays about the intersection of racism and disability among medical staff toward an Indigenous woman, about the issues with a free public transit system for disabled folk, about art classes and guide dogs, and so much more. It's a must-read to better understand disability and activism.
  • Follow @imtiffanyyu @itslololove @the_feeding_of_the_fox
  • Listen to Flame Bearers: The Women Athletes Carrying Tokyo's Torch. The podcast celebrates the journeys of Tokyo’s unsung women Olympians & Paralympians and provides action-oriented analysis of the issues closest to their hearts. Through storytelling, they use sport as a vehicle for racial justice, disability bias and pay equity.
