💰 From desk job to $60k/mo cleaning business. Finn had a typical engineer job which he hated. One day, he found a Reddit post explaining how to start a local service business and decided to give it a try. Nowadays, DeluxeMaid makes $60k/mo. Here's the whole story.

🛠 Failory's new website is coming soon. I'm almost finished. I've already designed all the pages and start uploading all the content. I'm only missing some last details, but they are taking me a lot of time. Here's a short update I wrote a few days ago.

💀 Can you imagine working 5 years on a business and shutting it down? Duncan and Tyler, now Memberstack's founders, had to go over this. They worked on Formatically, an instant citation tool, for many years, but it never took off. Here's the whole story.

🎨 My process for writing an ddesigning landing pages. In last week's email, I shared a step-by-step guide from Marketing Examples on how to create landing pages. Recently, I followed the steps to re-build Failory's PMF eBook page. And I tweeted about the process.

🕐 Listening to the book "Clockwork". I decided to start listening  to audiobooks, despite I've always been a little bit skeptical about them (here's why). I'm currently listening to a book called Clockwork, by Mike Michalowicz (author of "Profit First"). I particularly recommend it for small/medium startup founders looking to delegate. 📧 Failory's new newsletter format is here. As you can see, today's newsletter format has been different than in the previous emails. And it's here to stay. I think it looks much cleaner and it allows me to share resources for startup founders, besides Failory's ones. Here are my opinions on the change.


what I'm reading 👀

Non-fungible tokens! Everyone has been talking about them since we got to know the 'Nyan Cat' GIF was sold for $600K. Here's a great guide to understand what they are and how they work.

Nathan Barry's article on team stock options vs profit sharing. He's the founder of ConvertKit and has implemented both of them there.

A little bit late, but this deep analysis from The Generalist on the digital insurance startup, Lemonade.
