This newsletter takes 4 mins 57 seconds to read.

βš’οΈ Tool-Path

At Makerpad, we often get asked by the community for a Product Hunt clone. That is, tutorials showing you how to achieve functionalities like;

  • Member product submissions
  • Community upvoting and commenting
  • Product and member pages
  • Dynamic filtering

You asked, and we delivered. This tool-path shows you how to set up and build your own Product Hunt clone using Webflow, Jetboost, and Memberstack. Shout out to Sara Saunders, a Makerpad Creator in Residence, for contributing this tool path!

πŸ’‘ Member Spotlight: Angela Goodhart

This week we are chatting to Angela Goodhart from Virginia. Angela is a photographer, author and teacher and she has been using no-code tools for the last ten years to help her run her photography business. Now she's expanding her no-code knowledge, looking to build out her own ideas using some of the great new tools out there! Read the blog.

πŸ‘‹ An interview with 8020 CEO, Matt Varughese

We're curious how the state of no-code is shifting, and in particular what that means for agencies. Design-led businesses that deliver work using no or minimal code are springing up and it’s easy to see why. Not tied down by complex code, sprints, and rounds of bug-testing, these agencies can deliver projects in a fraction of the time it might take their traditional coding counterparts. Fuelled by our curiosity we jumped on a call with Matt Varughese β€” 8020’s CEO and all-round super-nice guy. Read the blog.

πŸš€ Community Projects

Podcast Ops created by Sara. "As the host of two podcasts, my biggest struggle was post production. Over the last few months I began to work on organizing the show with the help of automations to tie it all together. The result saved me 2-4 hours a week and I had content for a week in just minutes. After sharing it on Twitter there seemed to be interest so I launched a pre-order page to truly validate the idea. After 5 pre-orders I decided to go ahead. Podcast Ops is a set of templates and resources to help bring your published podcast content to your online audience. The goal is to help podcasters save time and re-purpose their content."

No-code Nation created by Victor. "I've been looking for a long time how to get my first backlink with my no-code projects and it's true that directories are a good way to get them. The problem is that all directories are generalist and don't bring any value to the person who posts the project. They don't bring value to those who want to discover startups either so I decided to create a directory dedicated to no-code projects."

Microbrave created by Mark Bowley. "I just participated in OnDeck's Global Build Weekend, and my team launched an MVP of Microbrave β€” a toolkit to help makers build in public. We built this as we know first hand how building in public can be hard to do. It means being vulnerable and facing judgement, making the effort while you’re busy building, as well as not knowing what to say or how to say it. Our aim is to help you do it easily and fearlessly. We're excited to see if we can help more makers confidently build in public."

πŸ—οΈ Co-Working Build Club

Every Wednesday, we spend 90 minutes learning & building together. Last week at Build Club we discussed how to validate and monetize ideas, shared project updates, and brainstormed member funnels. We got to see how people are building with Carrd, Webflow, and Glide. Join us this Wednesday at 9am PST/5pm GMT to share what you're building, ask questions, and get feedback. Join Build Club!
