Looking Ahead to Make Plans

This week sits between March (Women’s History Month) and April (Financial Literacy Month). So it’s sort of our week here at Ellevest.

For those of you who have been on this journey with us, you might have noticed some big changes over the past year (and a big milestone), many in response to your requests to help you navigate through the She-cession. So in addition to our financial solutions, built for women, we’ve really beefed up our financial education. Also built for women.

What do you want to accomplish as the world goes back to some state of normal?

Here are a few ideas to help you make plans.

“After six months of unemployment, I just accepted an offer that’s almost double my previous salary AND still negotiated it even higher!”

What we’re reading

It took 200 years for Boston to swear in its first Black and first woman mayor, Kim Janey. That’s a lot of firsts for a city celebrating its second centennial, but we’re glad we’re here.

Everyone is talking about Detransition, Baby, by Torrey Peters as one of the first novels by an openly trans author to be released by a major publisher. That’s a pretty shocking distinction — and just one of many, many reasons that International Transgender Day of Visibility (today) is so important.

Meet a new self-made woman billionaire: Stitch Fix CEO Katrina Lake is changing the way we dress.

Unlock special offers you won’t find anywhere else from some of your favorite women-led brands — like EleVen by Venus Williams, The Honest Company, and more. Because you’re special, too.

“Why didn’t authors write books about everyday problems that children could solve by themselves? Why couldn’t I find more books that would make me laugh? These were the books I wanted to read, and the books I was eventually to write.” Beverly Cleary, at 104, has died.

Ellevest named Apple’s “App of the Day”

The Ellevest app is making waves and a name for itself! You can now shop hundreds (yes, hundreds!) of women-led brands, earn cash back rewards, and access special offers with the Ellevest app.
