Meet The Experts

Steven Ehrlich:

Steven is the director of research for digital assets at Forbes and editor of Forbes CryptoAsset & Blockchain Advisor. He was recently the Social Media/Copy Lead at Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange based in the United States. Before joining Kraken he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance, a non-profit trade association dedicated to the comprehensive adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies across global markets. Before joining the WSBA, he was the Lead Associate within the Emerging Technologies practice at Spitzberg Partners, a boutique corporate advisory firm that advises leading firms across industries on blockchain technology.

Stephen Ehrlich (no relation to Steven Ehrlich):

Mr. Ehrlich is currently Chief Executive Officer of Voyager Digital Ltd. Mr. Ehrlich’s last position was as CEO of Tradier, Inc., a financial technology firm. Prior to Tradier, Inc, Mr. Ehrlich was a founder and the CEO of Lightspeed Financial, LLC – a US based retail broker-dealer. Mr. Ehrlich was responsible for eight major acquisitions for Lightspeed over a seven-year period. Previously, Mr. Ehrlich was CEO of E*TRADE Professional Trading LLC, the professional trading arm of E*TRADE FINANCIAL which was purchased by Lightspeed in July 2006. Prior to his executive position, Mr. Ehrlich was a Vice President at E*TRADE responsible for brokerage strategy. Mr. Ehrlich was also responsible for the planning and execution of three major business acquisitions for E*TRADE FINANCIAL including E*TRADE Canada, the Dempsey/GVRC market-making business, and the Tradescape professional trading business. Mr. Ehrlich graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a BS in Accounting.

Rayhaneh Sharif-Askary:

As Director of Investor Relations and Business Development at Grayscale Investments, Rayhaneh Sharif-Askary leads Grayscale’s efforts to generate new inflows into the Grayscale Investments suite of digital currency investment trusts. She manages Grayscale’s growing investor base of family offices, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and high net-worth individuals. Since joining Grayscale in 2018, Ray has helped raise billions in new capital into Grayscale’s products and been on the cutting edge of bringing the digital currency asset class to some of the world’s most sophisticated and significant investors.

Merrick D. Okamoto:

Mr. Merrick D. Okamoto has served as Executive Chairman, CEO, and as a director of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. since August 2017. Mr. Okamoto also serves as the President at Viking Asset Management, LLC (“Viking”) which he co-founded in 2002. He is responsible for research, due diligence and structuring potential investment opportunities for the Longview Family of Funds. Mr. Okamoto has been instrumental in providing capital to over 200 private and public companies and he is responsible for Viking’s trading operations. He served as the Chairman of Optex Systems Holdings, Inc., from January 2013 to November 2014, and as its director from March 2009 to November 2014. He currently serves as an Executive Director at Embark Corporation.
