Sallie’s Opinion

Financial wellness is having a moment

As vaccines continue to roll out, it’s understandable that we all just want to move on already. And that’s a good thing.

But this is also a time to reflect on the financial lessons we’ve learned from the year we just had. Last week, I wrote an op-ed for Marie Claire about the five takeaways the pandemic taught us about financial wellness. While we all start to make I’ll-be-there plans again, let’s also prepare ourselves financially for the next chapter — especially having experienced the ground shifting underneath us like it did.

Believe me when I say that I, too, am ready to pack a bag and wear real clothes (remember those?!). But my hope is that you’ll keep these five lessons in mind as you make plans for Future You.
