Nostalgic childhood products are back on Amazon

Hey Reader,

A lot of things are up in the air this year, especially for ecommerce sellers. From the massive increase in sea freight rates to the ever-changing Amazon restock limits,  it’s a lot to keep in mind for just one person. That’s why we’re opening EcomCrew Premium for the quarter to answer all your questions about your ecommerce journey. Enroll for Premium now and drive your business to the next level!

And to end the workweek well, we’re bringing you the hottest keywords from May 2nd to May 15th. Learn more about the keywords that are breaking Amazon!

Some of us have had to carry a few extra pounds since the pandemic, while some of us have only recently  found out that we aren’t very tolerant of certain foods. Many people deal with chronic allergies, some finding out until much later in life. Some might just be curious about their body’s inner workings. Everlywell has developed an at-home allergy test  that can determine whether or not  you react poorly to certain food. This product is taking the #3 spot in today’s top movers and has gone from selling 63 units per day to 106 units per day in the past two weeks.

The Peel-Stick-Block technique for advertising campaigns is one of the most widely known strategies when it comes to PPC, but these days, there are newer advertising options offered by Amazon. In this episode of the Ecomcrew Podcast, we explore just how useful these new advertising options are — how much they affect our ACOS, our revenue, and what you should do. Listen here: E383: [Amazon PPC Overhaul Part 2] Our Advanced Strategies for Sponsored Products.

Now that certain states are coming off quarantine, everyone can’t wait to go outside and return to the old normal. But certain pandemic activities are bound to stick, like going out for a hike or a trail! HydroFlask water bottles are the perfect pairing for any outdoor activities, and they have fun hues, customizable lids, and free real estate for decorative stickers. The popularity of this product has caused products like the one below to benefit, selling from 931 units to 990 units in the last few days.

Whether you’re an influencer and are just getting ready to post photos of yourself relaxing on an array of pool floats on Instagram, or just a kid waiting to use the pool during summer, Amazon sellers have you covered. Also, it seems that access to swimming pools this year will not be as restricted as last year, so Amazon buyers have already chosen pool floats to be their next checkout item. Products related to this keyword have drastically sold 116 units in the past few days.

We’re still trying to figure out why “Gas Cans” is among the hottest keywords in today’s top movers list. Do you think it has something to do with states coming off quarantine? Are we headed towards an apocalyptic Mad Max-esque future? Reply to this email and tell us what you think.

Happy selling,

Helena
