Silicon Valley Funding News - Week of May 31, 2021. Zeta Raised $250M Series C led by SoftBank

Tech M&A has totaled $136.2 billion in 2020, more than double the year-ago levels.  This is according to data provider Dealogic as reported by Kane Wu's from Reuters. 

COVID-19 has forever changed how businesses operate, communicate, sell, market, and recruit, all powered by technologies. The force also propelled the tech stock market rally in 2020.  Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft are all in super strong positions to continue their buying spree in 2021.

• Microsoft acquired Nuance for $19.7 billion
• Microsoft acquired Kinvolk (cloud-native distributed computing)
• Microsoft acquired The Marsden Group (industrial rapid prototyping)
• AT&T WarnerMedia merged Discovery for $43 billion
• Hitachi acquired GlobalLogic (chip-to-cloud software engineering) for $9.6 billion
• Panasonic acquired Blue Yonder (digital supply chain) for $5.6 billion
• Symphony acquired Mcafee for $4 billion
• Clarivate Analytics acquired ProQuest (data and analytics provider for academic research) for $5.3 billion
