“How can they afford THAT?”

It’s the question that every family loves to wonder about their neighbor. New cars, new renovations, new vacations...

How do they do it?

Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to talk about a lot of these things.

It’s fine to talk about them vaguely (“Saving is important”), but if you get too specific, you get in trouble.

For example, imagine talking about money with your friends and family. What if you all shared how much you made? Or what you spent on eating out last year? Or how much debt you’re in?

Yes, that sickening feeling in your stomach is the bile bubbling up. NOBODY WANTS TO DO THIS!

Especially if you’re already saving and investing and you’re basically ahead of the curve.

Here’s a scenario for you: If you had access to a room with people just like you — people who earn basically the same as you and have similar views on money — what would you ask them?

Be specific! There are no boundaries. How much did they spend on Christmas gifts last year? Was that first-class ticket worth it? Where do they invest their money? When does it make sense to invest in real estate?
