Azure Weekly - Power BI Weekly #114 - 15th June 2021
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #114
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 114th edition of Power BI Weekly! A number of updates this week: you can now Analyze your personal activity in Microsoft Teams with Power BI showing information about your meetings amongst other things (perfect proof that you're probably spending too much time in meetings!) It's now also possible to Embed Power BI in Salesforce, with the team providing some nice Developer samples to help us on our way. Talking about developer samples - there are some New developer samples for update data sources and encrypt credentials in .NET Core, Java and Python. I've previously shown how to do this for an on-prem data source using PowerShell, if you're more comfortable in PowerShell. Finally, it's been highlighted that the On-premises data gateway June 2021 update is now available.
Elsewhere this week, Chris Webb has discussed What The New Visio Web App And Licensing Announcement Means For Power BI (it's good news), Daniil Maslyuk has written a succinct comparison of Power Query in dataflows vs. datasets, and Matt Allington has discussed 5 Productivity Benefits of Tabular Editor 3.
If you have any content you'd like to contribute to the newsletter, please tweet @PowerBIWeekly or ping an email to PowerBIWeekly@endjin.com.
