June's hottest European seed investments

It was a big month for early-stage startups, with at least 229 seed rounds in Europe last month. One startup — France's electric vehicle startup Electra — secured €15m, the country's largest ever seed round.

So which other startups bagged seed funding? And which sectors were VCs' favourites? (Spoiler: dating and hybrid working wooed them).

When it comes to app downloads, Europe's digital banks still face stiff competition in the US market — local fintechs like Chime and Current are dominating the market with millions of app downloads in the first half of this year.

The only European digital bank to make the top 10 is Berlin's N26, with 172k downloads this year so far. But what other stories does the data tell?
