Popular Information - Sound off
Welcome back to Popular Information, a completely independent newsletter dedicated to accountability journalism. Popular Information has no ads and is available to everyone for free. But the newsletter exists because of readers like you who chose to support this work with a paid subscription. Over the last year, support from readers has enabled Popular Information to double our staff from one person to two people. And we’ve recently added a summer intern. As our publication has grown, so has our impact. This newsletter has been credited with creating a “political reckoning” in corporate America. We exposed the dark money behind voter suppression laws. And we won the 2020 Online Journalism Award for Excellence in Newsletters. If the cost of this newsletter ($6/month or $50/year) would create a financial burden for you, please stay on this free list. But, if you can afford it, consider becoming a paid subscriber now. So far in July, Popular Information has exposed the obscure foundation financing "Critical Race Theory" hysteria, documented how corporations give Republicans a massive advantage in state politics, and kept the spotlight on companies donating to Republican objectors. That scrutiny resulted in Toyota reversing course and announcing that it would suspend donations to Republicans who voted to overturn the election. Today, however, I want to hear from you. What's on your mind? What stories have you been following? What topics would you like to see Popular Information take on? You can leave your thoughts in the discussion thread linked below, starting now. I’ll be dropping by to participate in the discussion and answer your questions at 11:00 AM Eastern, for about an hour. |
