Stocking up on back-to-school supplies [Trending Keywords]

Hey Reader,

Want to take your ecommerce business to the next level and get more sales (profitably)? Then you will want to join the Ecommerce Business Builders Summit. They have brought together about 25 amazing speakers who are going to cover a wide range of topics for ecommerce sellers including brand building, paid advertising (on and off Amazon), listing optimization, and running a more profitable business. Don’t miss it and grab your ticket here!

Welcome to this week’s Trending Keywords! From sports merchandise to charging cables, Ecomcrew has done the research for you. We’ve taken data from July 11th to July 24th to show you the most-searched keywords on Amazon from the last 2 weeks. In this email, we’ll discover how much these keywords surged in popularity, and why these keywords were a trending topic, so let’s jump right in.

Taking the MVP crown of today's top movers list is the keyword, “bucks finals shirt”. Giannis Antetokounmpo was crowned NBA Finals MVP after leading the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship win since 1971 in a six-game series over the Phoenix Suns. Their win has caused massive amounts of sales among Amazon sellers, going from selling 14 units per day to 52 units per day in the past few days.

With 1.6 million active sellers and a whopping 350 million products flying around, you can probably guess why Amazon Seller Support is a terrible service. But it also means that it’s basically impossible to keep all these sketchy sellers at bay. Look into one of Amazon's proposed solutions to the counterfeiting problem — the Amazon Transparency Program, what its pros and cons are, and if it’s worth it for you.

In this week’s top 10, Cleveland Indians hats is taking our #1 spot in today's top terms. For those who don’t know, Cleveland's Major League Baseball team announced that it is changing its name from Indians to Guardians, prompting a wide array of reactions from fans. Many of these reactions have been reflected in social media but also Amazon, going from selling 1,114 units in the last few days of some of the merchandising of this baseball team.

Life is hard right now for an Amazon business owner. Sea freight costs are crazy, the Trump tariffs are still in place, and over 60% of third-party sellers are from China. However, none of these things are the biggest threat to your Amazon business. Find out which one is the biggest threat to your Amazon business here.

Parents and retailers, start your engines because back-to-school season shopping is here. Now that much of the global population is getting vaccinated, students are headed back to in-person classes in the fall. And they’re going to be loaded up with school supplies. The keyword “back packs for girls school” is taking slot #3 in today’s top terms and some of these products related to this keyword have sold 121 units per day in the past few days.

Why do you think “hip brace” is among the trendiest keywords of today’s top 10? Got an idea? Tell us why and shoot us an email with your answers!

Happy selling,

Helena
