The $7 Billion tax settlement

Sahil Bloom tweeted this story and its crazy and fascinating. A very successful hedge fund found a creative way around short-term capital gains taxes, until the IRS fought them on it. Now they have settled for $7B which likely means the total in unpaid taxes was much higher than that. The more you look, the more you'll see this kind of financial engineering.
