Issue 182 - Tesla Glass Factory

Cybertruck

Pretty massive.

Can't wait for the Cybertruck to come out? 📷
If you're talented enough, you could build one yourself with wooden panels. This one even took a quick spin around the track!

FSD Beta

FSD Beta v10 unprotected left turns 📹
Definitely not perfect, but pretty impressive that it's able to achieve it (in some cases, at least!).

Betta Button access will be based on good driving behavior
According to Elon, the 'Beta Button' will request permission to assess driving behavior using the Tesla insurance calculator, and only if the driving behavior is good for 7 days after you allow Tesla to monitor your driving activity, access to the FSD Beta will be granted.

From parking lot to parking lot. Zero human interventions. The future is here.

Insurance & Referral program

Tesla insurance to expand to Texas soon
Tesla insurance is currently offered in California only. The regulatory process for approval to offer insurance it's different per state, slow, and complex. Elon recently shared on Twitter that they are trying to offer it in Texas next month and in New York next year.

Tesla cuts the cost of Solar Roof with a new $500 referral bonus
It seems like Tesla is pushing hard for their Solar Roof by adding a new $500 referral bonus, making it the only remaining referral bonus at the moment in Tesla's referral program.

Tesla Vehicles and solar panels excluded from the referral program
Sad news, as of September 18th, Tesla announced they will not be offering Tesla rewards until further notice. As mentioned in the previous article, only Solar Roof remains eligible for a referral bonus. Thank you to everyone who has used our code in the past, we are really honored!

Safety

Model Y versus RAV4 Moose test ðŸ“¹
The Model Y passes the test at ~49 mi/h (80 km/h) and the RAV4 doesn't pass the test even at a slower speed (~43 mi/h or ~70km/h). Two different drivers do the test with each car achieving similar results. Pretty amazing.

💡 Tip of the week

You can view your Sentry videos directly from your Tesla. To do so your car needs to be in P, you can tap on the camera icon and an option to open 'Sentry Viewer' will show up.

🤓 What the acronym
