  The Federal Trade Commission updated a decade-old 2009 Health Breach Notification Rule, now requiring health apps and devices that "too often fail to invest in adequate privacy and data security" to notify users if their data is accessed w/out permission. Carly Page reports.

  Chris Mills Rodrigo reports on a recent poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and MeriTalk that found ~75% of Americans want the federal government to establish national data privacy standards.
• Facebook Admits Apple's iOS Privacy Updates Are Working [gizmodo.com]
  Due to Apple's privacy updates, Facebook publicly grieved the loss of unregulated access to your data, says Shoshana Wodinsky. In a statement to their advertising partners, they vented: "We know many of you are experiencing this greater impact as we are."
