We’ve loved the entire Roomba 600 Series for nearly a decade now. Robot vacuums keep getting stronger, smarter, and more automatic, but the 600 Series has barely changed since 2012. This vacuum has the capacity to recognize and wiggle away from robot-trapping obstacles, and we have yet to find a robot vacuum as nimble and persistent.

This smart display combines a touchscreen with a voice-controlled speaker, and it sits on a counter, desk, or side table for hands-free convenience. Ask it to update you on the weather, display a recipe in the kitchen, or stream music. This Echo Show 8 was our former favorite, dethroned only by its newer version. But the 1st Gen is still a great option if you aren’t seeking superior video quality.

This Amazon tablet is a budget-friendly device that’s good for streaming video, browsing the web, and reading. It doesn’t have the highest screen resolution but is perfectly adequate for casual use. A tablet that costs less than $100 still involves a lot of compromises, but Amazon gives you a lot for your money. Despite its entry-level specs, the Fire HD 8 is fast enough for the average user.
