YouTube TV was a great option when it first came out. Perhaps the biggest fan of it here at Review Geek was our very own Cam, who used it to watch everything from sports to popular TV shows like The Walking Dead.

But after a while, the alluring luster of YouTube TV faded, and Cam decided it was finally time to ditch the service for something that was less costly and better tailored to his family’s viewing needs. It really makes you think about your own streaming subscriptions, ya know?

Other Highlights:

  • Tis the season for holiday shopping! LEGO sets are fun gifts for kids and adults alike, so come choose one (or three) of our favorite sets!
  • Did you know the first electric vehicle was actually created in the late 1890s? It’s true! So what caused them to fail?
  • Quick! Grab your pumpkins and costumes—it’s Halloween! Also grab your phone because you need these frightening Halloween apps, like right now.
  • … and so much more!

New Research Shows Why Electric Cars Failed In the Early 1900s

The first electric vehicle was developed in the late 1890s, and EVs were fairly popular up until the 1920s. So what happened? Capture and Print Your Memories Instantly with KODAK’s Printomatic Camera

Selfies on your smartphone just don’t hit the same way that physical photo prints do, which is why KODAK’s Printomatic Instant Camera is so much fun. It works just like any standard point-and-shoot camera does, except it prints off your photo right after you take it on 2 x 3-inch photo paper (no toners, cartridges, or film needed). The camera features a 5MP sensor, an f/2 lens, and a flash that automatically turns on in low-light settings, ensuring your photos always look vibrant and well-lit. The Printomatic comes in a variety of bold colors, and its small size makes it easy to take with anywhere for instant fun and memories.

Great News: Scientists Find an Explosive Way to Neutralize Incoming Asteroids

Every two years, NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies runs a simulation to see how its scientists could save the planet from an incoming asteroid. This year’s study wasn’t very comforting—the simulated asteroid appeared incredibly close to Earth, leaving astronomers with no option but to brace for impact. It’s a shame, because new research shows that nearby asteroids are safe to nuke. Read More »
