Chapter 1 Recap: Day #1 of senior year did not go as planned… and Charlie had some pretty conservative (low) expectations. The school computer system ate her schedule, Jackie and Liz are still doubting her independent study, and she somehow got caught in the middle of a drag-down, locker-clanging, hair-pulling fistfight. It can only get better from here, right?

Chapter 2 Recap: As she color-sorted plastic beads on the floor of  Colson’s (thanks, Gary), Charlie thought back to the day her mom left to run a garden center with Bill, the live-in boyfriend who couldn’t have been happier to get rid of her.

Chapter 3 Recap: Jackie surprises Charlie with a request to skip the movies and attend a Friday night football game—their first-ever.

Chapter 4 Recap: Charlie and Jackie’s half-hearted attempt at school spirit is kind of a bust, at least for Charlie, who still can’t figure out why Jackie’s acting so distant. Plus, the only thing worse than the concession stand coffee is Charlie’s small talk skills, which are tested when an attractive/incendiary stranger chats her up in line.

Chapter 5 Recap: It was a bad day in the kitchen/multi-purpose art room. Turns out, Charlie can barely chop an onion and someone’s swiping her supplies. Later, Jackie opens up to Charlie about hooking up with Jared and quickly gets annoyed by Charlie’s questions. Charlie wasn’t being judgey… or was she?

Chapter 6 Recap: Football game guy and art room guy are the same person and, as it turns out, he’s an ass. Marlena threatens to visit, but Charlie’s heard it all before.

Chapter 7 Recap: Liz accidentally reveals a secret Jackie’s been keeping from Charlie, who attempts to avoid all confrontation by hiding in the art room. Of course, Finn’s there. He surprises her with an apology… and an invititation.

Chapter 8 Recap: Jackie reveals the group costume. The trio is going as “unexpectedly sexy” flight attendants, and somehow it works. Liz finally notices the weirdness between Charlie and Jackie.

Chapter 9 Recap: Charlie finally makes real food, which she and Finn eat together in the art room. (Second pseudo-date vibes?) Finn confirms he will be attending the Halloween party and even offers Charlie a ride. She declines; arriving with Jacking and Liz is crucial to their entrance.

Chapter 10 Recap: The Halloween party is a disaster. Finn shows up, but they barely get to talk. Charlie’s ready to bail early, but not before Jackie explodes at her in front of everyone.
