The who’s who of the NFL is a weekly revolving door, and Sunday’s action spun open new possibilities. Five teams won via blowout — Panthers, Bills, Patriots, Cowboys and Chiefs — while the Titans and Packers keep winning. Yesterday brought big winners and big losers. Here’s a three-and-out of each as we recap Week 10.
Winners
Patrick Mahomes: The Chiefs have been a shell of their old selves throughout 2021, but Sunday night’s rollover of the Raiders (41-14) put Patrick Mahomes and company back on track. Mahomes torched Vegas, going 35-for-50 with 406 yards and 5 TDs, and Kansas City (6-4) is back atop the AFC West.
Cowboys Offense: The bounce-back award of Week 10 belonged to the Cowboys. Dallas demolished the Falcons (43-3) with a flawless performance that included 29 points in the second quarter alone. Dak Prescott (24/31, 296 yards, 3 TDs) has Big D firmly in control of the NFC East.
Cam Newton’s Swagger: Just three days after Cam Newton made his return to Carolina, the former MVP played seven snaps and scored two TDs in the Panthers’ rout of the Cardinals (34-10). Newton threw for a score and ran one in on his first snap before taking his helmet off and screaming “I’m back” into the camera. He’s expected to start next week.
Losers
The ‘Dumb’ Bucs: The Super Bowl champs suffered a second straight loss after starting the season 6-1, and this one came as a surprise against the Washington Football Team (29-19). Head coach Bruce Arians described the team’s penalty-ridden day as ‘dumb’. Tampa Bay (6-3) hadn’t lost two straight in over a year.
Seahawks Offense: Russell Wilson made his return Sunday against Green Bay, but the Seahawks offense failed to score a single point (17-0). Seattle (3-6) is in danger of missing the playoffs for just the second time in the last decade.
Fans in Pittsburgh: The Steelers faced the Lions on Sunday without QB Ben Roethlisberger, and the result was the first game of the season ending in a tie (16-16, OT). On the bright side for Lions fans, Detroit (0-8-1) won’t be the first time in league history to finish with an 0-17 record.

SOCCER USMNT Takes 3 Over 'El Tri' Photo: Brad Smith / ISI Photos / Getty Images USMNT def. Mexico (2-0) for 3rd Time in Calendar Year to Secure Crucial Points in World Cup Qualifying
A new era in the USMNT-Mexico rivalry? It appears that way. When U.S. stars Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie scored to fuel the Americans to a 2-0 win over El Tri on Friday night in Cincinnati, they also secured three points and took over the top of the standings in CONCACAF. The match was a scoreless dogfight until Christian Pulisic (74’) and Weston McKennie (85’) slammed the door. The rivalry took on a new level of edginess with Pulisic’s undershirt mocking Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. And by night’s end, it was the third victory over Mexico in the calendar year for the USA — and a statement win to boot.
