    Google and other companies have pushed back return dates multiple times as the coronavirus has continued to spread and mutate despite widespread vaccine availability. The latest delay is reminiscent of the delta variant disrupting many company plans to bring back workers around this past Labor Day.

Salesforce [is] reportedly getting rid of a return date after previously allowing employees to work remotely through the end of 2021. Apple is delaying its mandatory return until at least February.

    Google said in the email it has safely reopened more than 90% of U.S. offices and almost 40% of employees are already coming in. When Google employees are required to come back, they will be given a 30-day transition period to settle in to hybrid work. The company is requiring most employees to be in the office at least three days a week.
