Power BI Weekly #135 - 7th December 2021
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #135
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 135th edition of Power BI Weekly. A handful of updates this week, including the new v4 Power BI APIs .NET SDK, with the main change being the addition of new, more specific classes to more accurately represent the object type returned when calling certain APIs. We've also been given a Power BI Streaming Dataflows November Update where the single (but significant) announcement is that arrays are now supported - great for unrolling batched data received from source. The final update from this week is that the On-premises data gateway November 2021 update is now available, with the only update being its compatibility with the November version of Power BI Desktop.
Elsewhere this week, Jeroen ter Heerdt has written about an often confusing behaviour of the underlying Analysis Services engine, writing about The capitalization (uppercase / lowercase) of my text data changed in Power BI! Why?, and Ruth Pozuelo Martinez has started a 25 Days of DAX Fridays! Challenge with a different business problem to solve every day up to Christmas day. You'll have to catch-up though - it's already the 7th (if you hadn't already figured that out!)
