Gotta hand it to them, the photography and UX on this email is super tasty looking 🍔🍔🍔

Doesn't it just LOOK awesome 😂

Thought:

The people I currently view as the best copywriters are people who don't necessarily identify as copywriters:

• @naval​
• @balajis​
• @david_perell​
• @lexfridman​
• @elonmusk

These people tend to be:​
• Clear thinkers.
• Can distill complex topics in simple ways.
• Can communicate well for their chosen medium.
• They are building and doing rather than just talking.

A cool thing about social media is that it's created a whole new category of "good writers" that didn't exist before since you can share small tid-bits and thoughts so easily.

In the past the "good writer" was the person reporting on an "interesting person."

But now you can totally bypass reporters and writers and go straight to the interesting person!

You → Elon Musk
You → President ​
​You → Oprah

So the "Interesting Person" can now be their own reporter and writer!

This change in dynamic has greatly changed my personal perception of who a “good writer” is.

Uplifting

These automatic blinds in my bedroom are one of the the most satisfying home automations I've done. This never gets old 😍

They can close by remote, or Siri/Alexa can control them also. This automation was totally worth it!

I was dogsitting this lil shih tzu named Poe for a bit, and we went on a Whole Foods shopping trip.

He patiently sat in the bottom of the cart as I shopped and he looked hilarious 😂

Interesting:

This is an amazing visualization of how food is wrapped.

By this logic, if you cover a taco with a slice of bread it would morph into sushi 😏

Drawing:

The famous venture capitalist Marc Andreessen once published a guide for planning your career, and the main concept was focusing on becoming at least a Double Threat.

"Seek to be a double/triple/quadruple threat."

Here’s what that means:

"SINGLE THREAT"
This is someone who only knows how to do one thing. This is like going out into the real world with a dull knife.

Example: Can write basic blog posts and that's all.

​"DOUBLE THREAT"
​This is someone who knows two things really well. These people are better armed to take on the real world.

Example: Can write blog posts AND make grabbing images for social media.

​

"TRIPLE THREAT"
This is someone who knows three things really well. This is like going into the real world armed with an assault rifle and whole arsenal.

Example: Can write blog posts AND make grabbing images for social media AND can make videos out of that content.

The other thing Marc Andreessen highly encourages is for people to learn at least one TECHNICAL skill.

He said it like this:

"Graduating with a technical degree is like heading out into the real world armed with an assault rifle instead of a dull knife...."
