it’s not Christmas yet, but this is my occasion to wish you Merry Christmas ! It’s my favourite time of the year, therefore today we will focus on Christmas. If you don’t like Christmas, you can skip today’s powernotes, because today’s edition is all about Christmas.

We have two christmas-themed books for you this week. The first book is: The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore.

Here are five notes from the book:

1. Life is messy. Would that every puzzle piece fell into place, every word was kind, every accident happy, but such is not the case. Life is messy.

2. You were supposed to empathize with your friend's problem, but they were, after all, your friend's problems...

3. If you're buying this book as a gift for your grandma or a kid, you should be aware that it contains cusswords as well as tasteful depictions of cannibalism and people in their forties having sex. Don't blame me. I told you.

4. Nothing says Christmas like a burning meth lab.

5. Christmas Amnesty. You can fall out of contact with a friend, fail to return calls, ignore e-mails, avoid eye contact at the Thrifty-Mart, forget birthdays, anniversaries, and reunions, and if you show up at their house during the holidays with a gift they are socially bound to forgive you—act like nothing happened.

The second christmas book i am recommending is : The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck.

Here are five notes from the book:

1. Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is believing you're worthy of the trip.

2. Most times we're so focused on what we think we want that we can't appreciate how happy we already are. It's only when we forget about our problems and help others forget theirs that we realize how good we really have it.

4. Everyone needs a place where they can go to just ponder for a while. Silence is important; it's the only time you can hear the whispering of truth.

5. God thank you for everything you've given us. For the time we have together. And for the miracle of Christmas. Thank you for the Atonement, the chance to start all over again. Help us to always remember who we are and to trust that we are worthy to make it through our storms. Amen.
