Tip of the Day

Light exposure impacts sleep quality. If you live somewhere with limited winter daylight, try to get bright morning sunshine on your face to get a better night’s sleep.

Happy Tuesday! Christmas is just around the corner and one of my holiday projects today is wrapping all the gifts. You know what makes wrapping gifts easier and more pleasant? A wrapping paper organizer like this one (I bought one years ago and love it) and good scissors. I actually own more than one of those wrapping paper organizers—one for Christmas-themed wrapping paper and one for plain paper suitable for birthdays and other reindeer-inappropriate events.

Speaking of the holidays on top of wrapping there’s a lot of baking going on, so now’s a good time to brush up on when to use different chocolates. And what’s a round of baking without some eggs? Here’s the best place to store your eggs in your fridge.

Water cooler trivia? Here’s a two-for-Tuesday throwback to the early 20th century. On this day in 1913, the New York Times published the first modern crossword puzzle, starting a tradition that continues in the paper to this day. Also on this day, in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves premiered. The animated film firmly established Walt Disney as a creative force and set the stage for future Disney innovations.
