Biden to offer millions of at-home Covid-19 tests to Americans, says 'we're prepared' for omicron.
USA Today (Moderate Left) • Factual Grade 78% • 9 min read

Biden said Americans will be able to request the free-at-home Covid-19 tests be mailed to their homes by accessing a website. Americans will not be able to request the tests online until January, meaning they can't access the kits before millions are expected to travel for Christmas. The 500 million tests are in addition to 50 million tests the federal government began distributing this month to community health centers.
    ...
The administration has taken some steps to expand access to test kits, but experts have criticized the government for not doing more – particularly for not making tests as cheap and easy to get as they are in the U.K. and some other countries. The White House's press secretary on Dec. 6 dismissed the idea of sending free tests to all households.
    ...
The president also announced plans to send six emergency response teams to Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Arizona, New Hampshire and Vermont and will stand up new federal testing sites with the first location in New York City this week.

Should service members be barred from 'liking' posts that promote terrorism?

361 votes, 64 comments

Context: Pentagon's new anti-extremism policy bars service members from 'liking' certain social media posts.

HIGHLIGHTED COMMENTS

Yes - The DoD specifies that it’s only against the rules if social media interactions are done intentionally to promote/show support for an extremist group or affiliate groups. This leaves the burden of proof on the commanding officer to demonstrate that the social media interactions were intended for that purpose. If the content being ‘liked’ isn’t clearly supporting extremist activity but happens to be from an extremist group (and there wasn’t a set of other interactions that are more explicit), they’d get a pass.

No - Who would define what terrorism is? Republicans might say that BLM supports terrorism and ban support for them, while Democrats might...
