Rob Walling chats with Sam Parr about building an email list, selling to Hubspot, podcast growth, and how to spot business opportunities.

Highlights:

• Sam got 100k subscribers in the first year just from blogging.
• The economics of newsletters - The Hustle is sent 6 days a week (26 sends per month). Churn is 3% or 4% per month. You charge $35 per 1000 sends. They knew they make $18 per subscriber and it only costs $3 to acquire a new subscriber with paid ads.
• The power of TikTok - New accounts can get millions of views in a short time.
