As the year winds down, Flexa is busier than ever. It’s been an incredible year of growth for the Flexa and Amp communities. In December, that kicked into overdrive with 25 days of Flexa, a new promotional campaign with Regal, the addition of new merchants like GameStop and Barnes & Noble, and 75 more spendable digital assets.

New merchants and assets enabled during 25 Days of Flexa

Flexa delivered 25 days of exciting updates this holiday season, enabling many new assets for spending on the network and in the SPEDN app, hosting an AMA with Do Kwon of Terraform Labs, enabling new merchants and promotions, and donating to important causes. For anyone who managed to take a healthy break away from crypto for the month, you can find all the updates on Twitter. On the final day, Flexa announced that it now supports more digital assets than any other payment network!

Regal promo offers 20% off when paying with Flexa

Regal partnered with Flexa to announce a new promotional campaign to spend digital currency at its theaters nationwide. During this promotion, anyone paying with Flexa received 20% off of their next two purchases. This Flexa Rewards promotion showcased how merchants can offer rewards to incentivize their customers to spend digital assets, with both customers and merchants benefitting from Flexa’s instant and affordable payments network.

GameStop live on Flexa

Flexa announced that GameStop is now accepting digital currency payments to the excitement of video game and crypto enthusiasts. As a company that has been embraced by a passionate online community, GameStop is an excellent partner for Flexa and digital currency payments. The news even made its way to the front page of the r/GME subreddit!

Flexa fireside chat with Terraform Labs’ Do Kwon

Last week, Flexa CEO Tyler Spalding fielded questions from the Amp community in a live Twitter Spaces fireside chat. During the first portion of the event, Tyler discussed future L2 staking, why banks might be incentivized to use Flexa, options for fiat payments using Flexa, and the role Flexa could play in growing the metaverse. Do Kwon then joined the talk and the two discussed the Terra ecosystem, the value of uncensorable stablecoins like UST, and the merits of a multi-chain world. Bancor enables AMP-BNT pool double rewards

Bancor announced double rewards for users who deposit either AMP or BNT in the Bancor AMP–BNT pool. These additional BNT rewards will be live for 8 weeks starting December 13, 2021.

Flexa’s Michelle Gitlitz discusses digital assets at Real Vision Las Vegas

In early December, Flexa General Counsel Michelle Gitlitz spoke to an audience of business executives regarding the importance of digital payments for businesses. While the session is not available publicly, anyone interested in the regulatory and legal side of the digital asset industry can look to hear Michelle speak next year at the 14th annual Judith Olans Brown Forum for Women in the Law Conference in Massachusetts.

Amp now available on HitBTC, CoinSpot, Swyftx

Amp has been enabled on HitBTC, CoinSpot, and Swyftx. With the addition of CoinSpot and Swyftx, the Australian Amp community now has access to an AMP–AUD pair, further expanding global access.
