Into the Archive: Were House Plants Better in the '70s?
Another long winter, another reason to be obsessed with house plants. But as you tend to your stylish fiddle-leaf fig and eclectic collection of succulents, consider this: It’s far from the first golden era for house plants. Case in point is the 1970s, when indoor trees were used to frame moody interior photographs and greenery could be counted on to sprout up just about everywhere.
