Happy Friday! In today’s newsletter, we have some handy tips to help you keep your dog’s paws safe during the winter and some tips to help keep you safe during winter power outages.

And water cooler trivia? As always we have some. Here’s a kid-at-heart bit of trivia for today. On this day in 1958, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen filed the original patent for LEGO building blocks. The company had been making toys for decades and even dabbled in making plastic building blocks as early as the late 1940s, but the 1958 patent was for the studded bricks that we all now know and love.
