February 9, 2022

Remember when Amazon Prime first launched, and it seemed like such a good deal? Free shipping? No brainer! But over the years, the price has gone up and up and up, and now it’s $140 a year.

And I’m sorry, did I really just type $140? Here in the year 2022 when plenty of competing services exist? Ugh, what a bitter pill to swallow. When you really think about it hard, it seems like Amazon Prime isn’t a great deal anymore. Find out more in the top story.

Other Highlights:

  • Samsung’s Unpacked 2022 event is today, and the rumors are looking good for some really interesting hardware. If you want to watch, we’ve got the details on how.
  • With the recent bad weather, it might be past time to gather all the things you need to survive comfortably when the power goes out.
  • Look out, Square; Apple has its sights set on you.
  • …and more!

Ditch Lighters and Switch to This Superior USB Candle Lighter

Trying to light a candle? Stop fussing around with small lighters that don’t always work and upgrade this electric lighter. With its long flexible neck, you can safely light anything from a distance without burning your fingers. Plus, it’s rechargeable and uses electricity to generate a flame, so you’ll never have to worry about buying lighter fluid (or refills). We love this lighter because it’s wind-proof and works equally well inside or outdoors, and you can bend the neck in pretty much any direction. Five LEDs on the handle let you see its battery life at a glance, too.
