Do links from guest posts even work? Here's what we learned

Every day I literally get 100s of emails asking if I accept guest posts on NeilPatel.com.

I get it... people want the link juice.

But do these guest posting links even help?

Because if I was Google it's not hard to see if a linking page contains words like: guest post, guest author, guest contributor, etc.

So we decided to analyze 1091 sites that accept guest posts to see what their impact is on rankings.

Here's what we learned. The results were interesting and different than one would expect.

PS: As a general rule of thumb if you build links through guest posts make sure you get them nofollowed.
