BOOTCAMP projects: REST API and LANDING PAGE

Hi Reader

This week I posted the previews of two projects we'll work on during the 2022 Web Development Bootcamp I'm launching 7 weeks from now, on March 29.

First we have the first project we'll build, which is a landing page.

A landing page is a website that has the goal of presenting something to someone that has never heard of it, quickly present the benefits and how what we created can solve their problems, plus the practical information like showing prices, having a signup and login form, having a company blog etc.

You can also call it marketing website but I think the term landing page is more well known.

It's a great first project because we'll learn HTML, Tailwind CSS and how to build modern componentized websites.

See more info and some screenshots on the blog post BOOTCAMP project: LANDING PAGE

The second project I present you is a REST API.

We'll create an API from the ground up, starting from the scenario we need to solve: building a travel expenses tracking API.

We'll think about the endpoints we need do implement, define all the parameters that we require or they take as optional, and then we'll start working on a Next.js website that powers this serverless API built using Prisma and PostgreSQL.

Every other project in the bootcamp will use an internal REST API in one way or another, so this is a great way to get more familiar with it.

See more info on the blog post BOOTCAMP project: REST API

The bootcamp registrations are set to open 7 weeks from now, on March 29, and the bootcamp will start the week after, April 5.

I can't wait!

Find out more info on https://bootcamp.dev

I will introduce you to all the projects we'll build in the coming weeks.

Remember to sign up to the bootcamp waiting list ðŸ˜€

Have a great week!

Flavio
