This season, guilds have been focusing on streamlining workflows and scaling. Guilds are the talent pools for BanklessDAO and drive the many projects that we are building. This week we are featuring some of the work guilds are doing, including the Translation Guild translating the growth strategy products for Index Coop’s BED and GMI index, the Design Guild working on projects for contributor alignment and creating portfolios to increase artists exposure, and the Analytics Guild deploying the DAO DASH bot in TalentDAO’s servers to provide them with community insights.

Guilds are the contact point for members to get involved and level up in BanklessDAO. They are the gears that drive us forward on our journey West. This newsletter is an invitation to see what we are working on, and your ticket to getting plugged in. We want you to get involved, share your skills, and contribute meaningfully to work that you are passionate about. It is our collective effort that sets us in motion for the long road ahead.

📊 Analytics Guild | Guild Coordinator: Paulapivat

The Analytics Guild builds data products and uses data analytics to equip bDAO members to achieve our mission with data-driven intelligence. They also incubated DAO DASH.

Updates

• The Analytics Guild incubated the DAO DASH project to serve as their data ecosystem to establish patterns using on-chain and off-chain sources. In Season 3, they intend to provide insights for bDAO as they strengthen their infrastructure to service partners.

• They recently rolled out the DAO DASH bot to TalentDAO servers to commence delivery of insights to their community. The project has begun scaling through such activities.

🎓 Education Guild | Education Workgroup Champion: Manuel Maccou

The Education Guild provides educational tools and resources to empower bDAO members with knowledge about Web3, DeFi, NFTs and the greater crypto ecosystem. They also incubated the Bankless Academy project.

Updates

• The Education Guild has changed their organizational structure to adopt four workgroups. The new workgroup structure allows them to work on specific objectives that match individual interests and strengths. They have a workgroup in-charge of Administration, Talent acquisition, Educational resources and Promotion.

• The Talent Coordinator workgroup has done a phenomenal job by onboarding sixteen people in January and eight already in February. Their new members have shown a lot of promise and have taken a lot of initiative.

• Successful workshops on Web3 Security Fundamentals and POAP Issuance were held by Guild contributors with amazing participant attendance.

• A workshop on Basic Instructional Design will be held in two parts on February 21-22.

🎨 Design Guild | Guild Coordinators: NFThinker and JENetics

The Design Guild designs everything from article covers to POAPs to bDAO marketing materials. Their next-gen innovative designs support the public face of bDAO.

Updates

• In Season 3, the Design Guild is focused on building and improving work streams to help get BANK into the hands of our contributors.

• They are working on these initiatives to do that:

  • Coordination with the Marketing Guild for creating Instagram Designs

  • Working on BanklessDAO website redesign

  • Revisiting and making amendments to our Terms and Conditions page

  • Working on portfolio pages for the Guild artists

• They are designing the Bankless Financial Report. The design work stream has already started for that . They are also designing for the Treasury Guild and a private whale investor.

🌎 Translators Guild | Guild Coordinator: Grendel

The Translators Guild spreads the Bankless mission across the world by translating our media into dozens of languages, then publishing them through the International Media Nodes.

Updates

• In Season 3, the Guild aims to set up a seamless workflow for the delivery of top-notch translations services for inner-DAO and DAO-to-DAO initiatives, and potentially service external clients in the future.

• They are in the scope phase of delivering the BED and GMI Index Coop translated into 14 languages as part of the growth strategy for both products.

• To spearhead bDAO’s growth, How-to-guides, DeFridays, helpful Twitter threads will be the first translated content available in German, Spanish, Czech, Greek, Ukraine, Turkish, Chinese, Bulgarian, Adrian, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, French and Hindi.

Keep an eye out

The BED and GMI Index Coop translation proposal will be presented this week and funds will be requested for the Translators Guild. Keep a look out and vote on it.

🧑🏽‍💼 Project Management Working Group | Project Champion: 0xRené

The PM Working Group is the place for DAO members interested in Project Management. In Season 3 we are conducting retrospective sessions with many projects in the DAO. The goal of these sessions is to help teams identify their own strengths and challenges as well as help them to define actions to explore solutions for these challenges. Long term, the PM Working Group aims to be a home for all Project Managers in the DAO, curating talent and helping them to grow their skills together with like-minded people.

• They have conducted seven introductory meetings with project champions to help them understand how Retrospectives work and how they create value for the project and the DAO.

• They have setup a virtual retrospective template and drafted retrospective follow-up process.

📒 Basic Instructional Design

The workshop is organized by @Quietfox.

This workshop provides an exploration of best practices for teaching and learning led by IRL educators. There will be two part to this project. A 1 hour session, where you will learn about best practices for designing effective courses in any domain or field. You will be exploring a few key learning theories, the different models of instructional design, and how to best format your assessments to meet your learning targets. This will be followed (on 22 Feb) by 1 hour of hands-on workshop where you will generate a lesson plan.
