137YEARS ago today a 19 year old Englishman convicted of murder was due to be hanged when the malfunctioning gallows wouldn’t release the floor beneath him, authorities ascribed it to an act of God, he was removed from death row and his sentence commuted.

8.2ftWINGSPAN of a fossil embedded in limestone in Scotland recently discovered by scientists has now become the largest Jurassic Pterodactyl in history. It’s the largest animal that had ever flown with previous estimates of the Pterodactyl wingspan to be under 6ft.

128ftLONG Supersaurus holds the record for the largest dinosaur to have ever existed by length on land, new research from 2021 found it could have been up to 137ft long which is the equivalent length of around 14 African elephants.

85ftLONG Ichthyosaur found in southwestern England is believed to be the largest dinosaur by length which ever existed in water. The dolphin shaped creature was almost as big as a blue whale and roamed the planet 205m years ago.

3MEN convicted of killing jogger Ahmaud Arbery in the US state of Georgia in 2020 have now been found guilty of all 3 federal hate crimes put to them. Jurors found the defendants targeted Arbery because of his race. They may be sentenced to life in prison, in addition to the life sentences received in January.

8CURRENT and former Peloton employees have provided information about “Project Tinman”; a plan to conceal known corrosion on the bikes and send them to customers who had paid between $1,495 and $2,495. Peloton has argued it affected ‘non visible’ parts and they did not affect the product’s integrity.
