Hi, my name is Jim Edwards, and I’m the editor in chief of Insider’s news division.

Our newsrooms combined have written more than 630 stories on Russia’s war against Ukraine since it started. Our teams in New York, California, Singapore, and London have been working nonstop to cover the conflict.

We’ve been speaking with politicians, experts, and analysts about this crisis. We also have a reporter and photographer in Ukraine sharing dispatches and images from Europe’s first major war in decades. Our video team has been sharing scenes from the ground, and our audio team is constantly updating our new podcast with the latest information.

Keep up with our ongoing coverage:

  • The best place to follow our Ukraine coverage is our live blog, updated throughout the day with the most pressing stories by our global news team.

  • Alan Chin, a reporter and photographer, is in Ukraine for us right now. He filed a report from Kharkiv before the tanks came in, and then from Vrubivka as the shelling started. He escaped from Kyiv as the invasion began and drove west. And in the relative safety of the far west of the country, Alan filed a story with haunting images from a bomb shelter in Ternopil.

  • Our video team spent a night with Ukrainian refugees at a train station in Poland, documented how Russia is cracking down on anti-war protesters, and captured the destruction on the ground in Ukraine after Russia launched its invasion.

  • A former intelligence chief told reporter Mattathias Schwartz that the conflict had increased the risk of nuclear war. Several of our reporters spoke with Ukrainian citizens on the morning they woke up to bombs falling. Ryan Pickrell and Christopher Woody on our defense desk wrote this useful analysis of why the invasion has gone so badly for Russia.

  • Our markets team has a comprehensive guide on how to invest and protect your portfolio as the global markets react to Russia's invasion.

  • Our new audio product, “The Refresh From Insider,” is also constantly updating with the latest news briefings from Ukraine — listen here to get caught up on the news.
