We have some exciting guild updates and HYPE news to share this week. First off, Bankless Academy is accepting contributions for Gitcoin Grants Round 13 and has currently raised almost 5,000 USD in quadratic funding. The funding period remains open until March 24, so make sure to donate to fund these important public goods!

Next off, the Research Guild is kicking off a massive research workgroup pipeline, the Design Guild is spinning up their own newsletter for showcase artists, and DAO Heat is dropping their Epoch 0 NFT. There might also be some news about Fight Club, but we don’t talk about Fight Club.

If you’re new to BanklessDAO, guilds are the place to find your home and carve out your niche. There are a lot of opportunities for you to get involved, you just need to show up, raise your hand, and share your unique skills and talents. Let’s get going!

Bankless Academy is a one-stop-shop that will take someone with absolutely zero knowledge of crypto and smart contracts, and turn them into a fully competent user. ✍️ Research Guild | Project Champion: ThinkDecade

The Research Guild operates as a support node for conducting, guiding, and funding research that aligns with BanklessDAO’s mission. They incubate research projects to provide amazing insights to the DAO.

🎨 Design Guild | Guild Coordinators: NFThinker and JENetics

The Design Guild designs everything from article covers to POAPs to bDAO marketing materials. Their next-gen innovative designs support the public face of bDAO.

Design Guild has been busy planning the release of their up-and-coming newsletter, The Drawing Board. They intend on building an even stronger community of contributors, and the best way to do that is to keep engaging! They plan on sharing their designs, educational initiatives, and other relevant news. Stay tuned for more updates on this!
Their monthly compensation round went through this week, seeing nearly 200,000 BANK distributed to 30 contributors! If you're interested in earning equity in BanklessDAO, come along to Design Guild and see how you can get involved.
The BanklessDAO website is nearing completion, with UI/UX wizards @IsraelRex, @Fiyin and @Lawrence working their magic. Keep an eye out for the newly launched site very soon!

🔐 InfoSec Team | Project Champion: BogDrakonov

The project offers information security to BanklessDAO and aims to provide security training and advice to its members. They also create educational programs to raise awareness on information security topics in both Web2 and Web3.

Updates

They are in the testing phase of a discord moderation bot to deal with the spam issues that have plagued the DAO.
They will continue their security tidbits in the Weekly Rollup newsletter to relay easy to follow operational security (OPSec) tips and guides.
They are also working on an InfoSec website as a knowledge base and intend to commercialize their services as a consulting offering that BanklessDAO can project in the future.

🌍 Translators Guild | Guild Coordinator: Gpe

The Translators Guild spreads the Bankless mission across the world by translating our media into dozens of languages, then publishing them through the International Media Nodes.

Updates

The newly started Translator Guild Project, DAOlators, landed their first translation job with Snapshot Labs.
The first Language Round Table session for the German language will take place in the #watercooler at 18:00 UTC on March 15, 2022. Native speakers will include paul.eth, Lany, and Tschentsch. Join them to practice and level up your language skills while getting to know your fellow contributors!

Bankless Consulting

They landed four new clients this week and paid over 30,000 USD in crypto to 16 project team members on three different projects!
10 new Associates were identified for the new Associate Program.
They have identified Social Media, Bookkeeping, client proposals and NFTs as required skills in new contributors. If you have experience in these areas, reach out to them and contribute.

📉 DAO DASH Project | Recent Additions

The DAO DASH project was incubated by the Analytics Guild to establish patterns from on-chain and off-chain data sources and display them in a palatable manner. They are looking to create data on bDAO Coordinape rounds.

They have made some recent additions to this arsenal:

Fight Club NFT Mint

The Fight Club NFT for BanklessDAO members will happen at the end of next week. bDAO members must be level 1 or hold 35k in BANK (including LP BANK). They will be releasing a flyer with all the mint details and benefits of the Fight Club NFT. The NFT will also come with a t-shirt and includes worldwide shipping.

🎓 APPLY | Tokenomics Coordinator in the Treasury Guild

A new position is being nurtured for Season 4 within the Treasury Guild: the Tokenomics Coordinator. The Tokenomics Coordinator is responsible for supervising, organizing, and coordinating activities related to tokenomics like moderating weekly meetings or being the first point of contact for this topic.
