Pixabay: Pixel2013 The Justice tarot card is about fairness, balance, and cause and effect. This is the card that represents karmic results and takes responsibility for actions. For example, it can indicate that you're currently experiencing a time of equilibrium in your life or that you're making progress towards achieving it. In general, the justice tarot card suggests that you should seek fairness and justice in all your dealings. You can trace the history of the justice tarot card back to ancient times. The card is believed to represent fairness, balance, and law. In addition, early decks were often depicted as a woman holding a scale in one hand and a sword. Now, let's go over other meanings associated with this card. The Meaning Of Justice Goes Beyond Fairness And BalanceThis tarot card also often indicates a need for discipline and restraint. You may need to be careful not to overindulge or act impulsively. The justice tarot card can also suggest that you need to take a closer look at your own actions - are you treating others fairly, and are you living in line with your own values? This tarot card also often indicates that you're currently being tested in some way. The test could be related to your personal ethics or morality, or it might be a more general exam of your character. For example, the Justice tarot card asks you to be fair, honest, and conscientious in your dealings with others, as well as yourself. If you're facing a difficult decision, the justice tarot card may guide the best course of action. It often suggests that you should weigh all the options carefully before making a choice and that you should do what's fair and proper, regardless of the consequences. If the Justice tarot card appears in your reading, it's a sign that you should take a step back and reassess the situation. Make sure that you're acting with integrity and treating others fairly. The Justice tarot card is a reminder always to do the right thing. The Justice tarot card can offer some insight if you're looking for clues about a particular situation. For example, it might suggest that someone is deceitful or that you need to take a more balanced approach to a problem. This card can signify that things will start to even out soon if you're feeling out of balance. You also need to speak your truth and to live your truth! No matter what's going on in your life, the Justice tarot card is a reminder always to seek fairness and justice. Be honest with yourself and others, and do what's right, even when it's complicated. It signifies that things will eventually work out in your favor if you stay true to your principles. So here is the thing. When it comes to PTSD and C-PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders that have nothing to do with a chemical imbalance, the Justice tarot card in reverse is often what comes up, and that is the case with Risa, and everyone else struggles with it. So let's now talk about Justice in reverse. Justice ReversedWhen the Justice card comes up in reverse, that is not good news. It can indicate legal problems, unfair treatment, no accountability, imbalances, and dishonesty. Therefore, this card shows that a situation is not fair. And what is something that everyone who has PTSD or C-PTSD has in common?
That is how everyone who struggles with complex trauma caused by bullying or abuse, whether they find a way to manage it well and thrive despite it or not, Justice is still in reverse. Even if the offender pays their dues for what they did, it is still unfair to the victim because the victim has to spend their hard-earned money to pay for costly therapy sessions that are not always covered by insurance and to constantly work on themselves to develop skills to cope with their trauma. In other words, trauma victims have to deal with the consequences caused by others, and they have to deal with the effects that were not their fault. That is the justice in reverse. How Does Someone React When Justice Is In Reverse? The automatic response to a Justice in reverse situation, whether it is because of bullying or other forms of abuse or a backstabbing friend who threw you under the bus, is anger. You are going to be angry and justifiable so. The truth is, even if you learn that the offender was held accountable, you may get some satisfaction out of it because of karma being somewhat balanced, but it is not enough because they crossed your boundaries and you were hurt. That does not take that away. You are still going to be angry. And guess what, you have every right to be angry. And whatever you do, do not listen to those who tell you that your anger is not healthy and it is a negative emotion to rise above. That is spiritual bypassing, and those who tell you that have their own anger and are ashamed to share it. But this is the thing. The healthy part of anger has to do with how you express it and what you do with it. Yeah, I am super angry about what others did to me and got away with, and I have been told repeatedly to release my anger and forgive my offenders. Forgiveness is another issue altogether, which I will discuss in another episode other than the fact that you do not need to forgive those who are not held accountable for their actions. That does not mean you are planning revenge on them or wasting your energy on hate towards them. I understand that forgiveness is another issue that has different meanings to different people, as that boils down to semantics, the same way as the word healing goes. But I will stop here. I will say that no, you do not have to forgive your offenders, as forgiving them will not balance anything. If anything, if you are gaslit to believe that you have to forgive them, that will create even more imbalances within you because you will become more anxious and more upset with yourself because you cannot forgive them. The best way to create a balance is to use your anger to advocate for yourself and other victims of bullying, abuse, or other trauma caused by someone else. If you are feeling outraged, I recommend a punching bag is a significant investment. And you also have to accept that in life, there will always be Justice in reverse situations at one point or another. Unfortunately, that is the case with trauma victims. Now, let's talk about how this card applies to Risa. Let's face it, nothing in her life has been fair for her. Her entire life is about Justice in reverse. But here is the thing, and the last thing I ever want to do is sound like I am victim-blaming and shaming, even a fictional character. Though it is the truth, she does not help her situation. She keeps her anger in and allows it to fester, and when there is a situation that causes her anger to erupt, it does, it does to the point that others are scared of her, and also, at the same time, don't take her seriously. How To Apply The Justice Card Into Your LifeTo make the Justice card work in life, you have no choice but to firm up your boundaries for Risa or anyone. You have to speak up and speak against the wrongs that have happened to you. You have to take action and make it known that what happened to you was unacceptable. I am not talking about revenge, as that can create more imbalances, as two wrongs do not make a right which is still Justice in the reverse situation. I am talking about making it known that you are not going to allow anyone to take advantage of you in any way and bully you into anything. Not everyone is comfortable with advocating, and I get that. Still, it is essential to speak up and share nonprofit charities that help those who have dealt with abuse on your social media networks, such as the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. You will want to share the nonprofit relevant to your country of residence and an excellent site to check for nonprofits is Colleaga.org. The gist of it is you have to, unfortunately, accept life is not fair, and it is more unfair to some than to others, but you cannot sit back and let crap happen to you either. The next card I will go over is the Hanged Man. You’re a free subscriber to Miriam Reads Tarot . For the full experience, become a paid subscriber. |
