Welcome to Azure Weekly Issue 364. Quite a packed issue this week as there are lots of features entering private preview or GA and some interesting articles. In Synapse: Web activity response timeout improvement in ADF / Synapse Pipelines. Web scraping using Azure Synapse notebooks, andBest practices for integrating serverless SQL pool with Cosmos DB Analytical store via Synapse Link. There is also The new Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate certification coming soon.
The Static Web Apps team have added a feature that was high up on the community backlog: Public preview: Protect Azure Static Web Apps environments with a password. There's a great article about the different approaches you can take to Separate Production, Test and Development Resources in Azure, and an interesting article about a platform for creating scalable and reproducible scientific workflows: Nextflow On Microsoft Azure with a Blazor Frontend.
Finally, there are a number of end of life and deprecation notices: Deprecating weak cryptographic standards TLS 1.0 and 1.1 in Azure DevOps Services, Update your Azure SDK libraries by 31st March 2023, and one that might have an equally big impact: Extended support for Microsoft .NET Core 3.1 in Azure Functions will end on 3rd December 2022 - time to upgrade to .NET 6.0!
