Hi All!
Here is your weekly dose of 5-Bullet Friday, a list of what I’m pondering and exploring.
What I’m putting on nearly everything
Yellowbird’s habanero sauce. This stuff is magical and crafted right in my backyard of Austin. The last time I featured Yellowbird in 5BF, you seemed to love them in a big way. Here’s the official description: “Meet the cult classic that’s now 100% organic with no added sugars! Our organic habanero condiment boasts a flavorful, balanced heat with a complex blend of organic habanero peppers, carrots, and tangerines.”
What I’m watching
La La Land (Amazon, YouTube, Apple TV, Google Store). This movie is outstanding. I held off for a few years, despite the many recommendations from friends, because I’m largely allergic to musicals. Chew through that and you’ll be rewarded. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling (@RyanGosling) are beyond talented. Multi-hyphenate doesn’t do either of them justice. If you liked Whiplash, this is also from Damien Chazelle, the same writer-director. From Wikipedia: “It won a record-breaking seven awards from its seven nominations at the 74th Golden Globes and received eleven nominations at the 70th British Academy Film Awards, winning five, including Best Film. The film also received a record-tying fourteen nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, winning in six categories, including Best Actress for Stone and Best Director for Chazelle.” Find the trailer here.
What I’m listening to again
“Tres Deseos - Sesiones de Estudio (En Vivo)” by Churupaca (@churupacaoficial). If you listen to this a few times, it will get stuck in your head… and that’s a good thing. Find the lyrics in the video description.
What my foundation is supporting
Fireside Project. Official description: “Fireside Project’s Psychedelic Peer Support Line offers free, confidential peer support by phone and text message to people in the midst of psychedelic experiences, people holding space for others who are in the midst of psychedelic experiences, and people integrating past psychedelic experiences.” The line is available daily from 3 PM to 3 AM PT at 62-FIRESIDE (623-473-7433), and it has been featured in Esquire, Forbes, Rolling Stone, and others.
Quote I’m pondering
“That’s L.A. They worship everything and they value nothing.”
— Sebastian Wilder in La La Land, played by Ryan Gosling
And, as always, please give me feedback on Twitter. Which bullet above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions? Please let me know. Just send a tweet to @tferriss and put #5BulletFriday at the end so I can find it.
Have a wonderful weekend, all.
Much love to you and yours,
Tim
P.S. Deal of the Week — Athletic Greens.
I get asked all the time, “If you could use only one supplement, what would it be?” My answer is usually AG1 by Athletic Greens, my all-in-one nutritional insurance. I recommended it in The 4-Hour Body in 2010 and didn’t get paid to do so. I focus on nutrient-dense meals, of course, but AG1 further covers my bases with vitamins, minerals, and whole-food-sourced micronutrients that support focus and mental clarity, gut health, energy, and the immune system. With added pre- and probiotics, digestive enzymes, adaptogens, and more, AG1 is one of the most comprehensive and convenient formulas on the market. Furthermore, they’ve been able to make it taste great. Athletic Greens invests heavily in quality ingredient sourcing, finding the most bioavailable forms for optimal absorption so you can have peace of mind as you invest in your health. And rather than try to sell you multiple products, they stay focused on refining this one formula. With 52 improvements over the last 10 years, Athletic Greens is on a mission to deliver the most optimal, nutrient-dense formula possible. Athletic Greens makes it simple to cover your bases for just $2.80 per day. And today, they are providing an exclusive offer for my readers: get added immune system support with a free 1-year supply of liquid vitamin D + 5 travel packs with your subscription purchase.
