Pixabay: WikiImages The World is a tarot card that symbolizes completion, success, and accomplishment. This card can represent the outcome of a situation or the journey's end. It can also indicate that you have reached a point of knowledge and understanding. It is the highest point in the Major Arcana and suggests that you have got a significant milestone in your journey. This card signifies that you have achieved all you set out to do and are now ready to move on to new challenges. The History And Appearance Of The World Tarot CardThe World is a tarot card that has been used for centuries to tell the future. The origins of the World tarot card are unclear, but it is believed to date back to ancient Egypt. The World tarot card is often used in divination and fortune-telling, and it can represent several different things depending on the context in which it is read. When you look at the World tarot card from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, you see a naked woman dancing in a large laurel wreath with a purple cloth. She is looking behind her, representing her past as she physically moves forward, defining her future. She has two wands in her hands, as it is the same one that the Magician holds. That symbolizes the creation she made, shown by the Magician, is now completed. The wreath symbolizes the cycle, and as she steps through the wreath, she completes the cycle and is ready to start a new one. As you can see, the creatures surrounding the wreath, a lion, a cherub, a bull, and an eagle, represent the four fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. These are the exact figures on the Wheel of Fortune tarot card. Both cards represent cycles, and those figures represent the four seasons, four compass points, and the corners of the Universe. What The World Tarot Card Means In A ReadingThe World tarot card can be positive or negative depending on the context in which it appears. It is good if the World tarot card appears in a reading with other positive cards. However, if the world tarot card appears with other negative cards, it may indicate problems or difficulties ahead. The World tarot card can also represent new beginnings, as it signals a time of transition and change. This is a time to celebrate your accomplishments and start fresh with new goals. Trust that you have the strength and knowledge to achieve anything you set your mind to. Whether you see the World tarot card as a sign of success or a new beginning, it is a promising card that heralds good fortune as long as the surrounding cards support that. So embrace the change and growth coming your way, and have faith in your ability to create the life you desire. The World tarot card can also suggest that you are coming to terms with something. It is a reminder to stay optimistic, even when things seem harsh. The World tarot card signifies that good things are ahead as long as the surrounding cards support that, so long as you maintain your faith and keep moving forward. Finally, the World tarot card can represent a turning point if you have been going through a tough time. This is a sign that things are about to get better and that you will soon be able to put your struggles behind you. Have hope that better days are on the horizon, and trust that you have the strength to make it through to the other side. And here is the thing regarding this tarot card and those who struggle with low-self esteem. Those who struggle with low self-esteem don't think they accomplish anything. But here is the thing, they do it because everyone does in one way or another. And those who have low self-esteem because of trauma or any other mental illness lose sight of that. They think they don't accomplish anything because they are not happy with their lives. However, graduating from high school and going to college right after is an example of the World. Even if you did not graduate from high school or go to college, the World also applies to going straight to work and skipping college altogether. It is all about ending cycles and starting new ones. That is an example. Everyone can think of things in their lives that they have accomplished if they look deeply into them. I don't particularly appreciate how a lot of my life turned out either, but that does not mean I did not accomplish other things and move on to the following cycles. That even applies to Risa Green. It is not like she did not finish school, stayed home to live with her parents, never got married, had her own family, and didn't work. She still did achieve those things, so the World tarot card does apply to her. However, she is undoubtedly unhappy with how her life has turned out even though she is not making changes to it. And that is the truth with those who often have untreated mental illnesses. So the World in reverse does tend to fit in as well. The World Tarot Card In ReverseWhen the World tarot card appears reversed, it may suggest that you are not seeing the big picture. For example, you may be feeling lost or confused. Alternatively, the reversed world tarot card may represent a situation that is not yet complete or even a failure. Everyone has had to deal with the World in reverse at some point in their lives because if you have never failed anything, you clearly are not human. But so many are lost and confused and cannot see the big picture, especially when they are disappointed with how something turned out. again, many of those who struggle with mental illnesses will, unfortunately, see life through that lens. So how can you apply the World tarot card to your life? Applying The World Tarot Card To Your LifeThere are two things you can do. First, the next time you doubt how much you have accomplished in life, take the World card, focus on it, and think about what you graduated from or completed. Start with elementary school, then high school, driving school, and finishing those cycles and getting a job, leaving a job, and starting a new one. Then you will see what you have accomplished and completed. Also, if you want to complete something and start something new, such as a course you are taking that you are not fond of but need to take to get onto the next level - take the World tarot card with you and focus on that. Also, know that you will complete that course or a phase of your life to move on to the next one. The World tarot card will serve as a good reminder that you will finish up a course, a phase, or something else you don't like as it will not go on forever as nothing does. And a new phase will begin when it is time. That completes the World and the Major Arcana. A Quick Introduction To The Minor ArcanaA tarot deck has 78 cards which consist of the Major and Minor Arcana cards. While the 22 cards in the Major Arcana represent significant events in one's life, the 56 Minor Arcana cards reveal everyday difficulties or joyful or neutral moments in life. The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana have four suits: the Pentacles, Cups, Wands, and Swords. Each suit is represented by graphics symbolizing the four elements of nature - air, earth, fire, and water. Here is some information on Tarot card individual meanings, specifically the Minor Arcana cards. This will help you gain some knowledge of this fascinating subject and learn more about yourself. Let's start with the Wands suit. This suit is associated with fire and represents growth, glory, enterprise, energy, and animation. The greenwood with a few live twigs, as seen in the illustration on the cards of this suit, signifies growth. The Wands can be interpreted as staff carrying the victor's crown or as clubs used in combat. Wands also represent concepts, creation, and agriculture. The club suit in today's playing cards owes its origin to the wands. Now, let's talk about the Swords suit. The Tarot card's meanings represented by the Swords suit are aggression, ambition, courage, misfortune, and force. This can be interpreted by the illustrations showing people in combat or with heads bowed down in adversity. The Swords also represent action, both good and bad. This suit is associated with air and is the forerunner of the spade suit in today's playing cards. Then there is a Cups suit. Cards in this suit represent water and reveal happiness, emotions, beauty, and fertility. The Tarot card's meanings defined by the Cups can also reveal aspects of the subconscious mind and human instinct, not the conscious mind and reasoning. Finally, the heart suit owes its origin to the cups in a standard deck of playing cards. Finally, there is the Pentacles suit, which represents material gain. Money and industry are defined by this suit and associated with the earth. The Pentacles are the coin-like discs that carry pentagram inscriptions seen as the five-pointed stars in the cards. Except for the Five Pentacles, the cards in this suit show people reaping the fruits of their labor. In ancient times, people wore pentagrams to protect themselves from evil. The diamond suit of today's playing cards has evolved from the pentacles. The next step in this podcast is to begin going over the Wands suit in the Minor Arcana, and the next episode will be covering the Ace of Wands. You’re a free subscriber to Miriam Reads Tarot .
