MicroFounder - Cold emails 🥶

MicroFounder

Probably one of the hardest things for a microfounders is to find their first customers. No website traffic, no word-of-mouth, no money to run ads.

So, if you don’t have a budget to bring clients to you, you need to go to them instead, using... hard work.

Microfounders are familiar with cold emailing:

"We started with cold outreach to creators, Indie Hackers, and startup founders, who might be interested in our product." – Marie from Tally ($14k/mo)

"We found our first customers from making posts on websites like IndieHackers, Reddit. Many cold emails were involved as well." – Robi from Featurebase ($600/mo)

There are also microstartups that help you get started with cold emailing, like ColdEmail.Club ($3k/mo) offering cold email copywriting as a service or Cold Email Studio that does the whole process from hunting leads to actually sending the emails.

We talked to Jai, who is the founder of ColdEmail.club ($3k/mo) to get some tips about how to be successful with cold emails. Here are some main points:

✏️ Put in effort to write short and on-point emails
✉️ Find contacts who are relevant to your product
🤖 Automate follow-ups (most reply to 2nd or 3rd email)
