🚀 Top Stories
1) Astrocast, the IoT network operator, has agreed to acquire rival Hiber Global in exchange for 16.5% of future Astrocast shares.
  • Hiber shareholders also agreed to invest an additional €10.45M in the company. The acquisition is pending completion of Astrocast’s second public offering.
2) Sierra Space and Spirit AeroSystems ($SPR) announced a long-term strategic partnership to accelerate access to the commercial space economy.
  • The agreement will help lower the cost of access to space and accelerate production of Shooting Star Cargo Modules as part of the Dream Chaser spaceplane franchise.
3) NASA awarded Axiom Space and Collins Aerospace a contract for next generation astronaut spacesuits to be used for low Earth Orbit and Artemis lunar missions.
  • The two were chosen from Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services solicitation. The contract has a combined maximum potential value of $3.5B through 2034.
4) Salient Predictions, a startup focused on providing weather intelligence for the energy, agriculture and insurance industries, has raised $5.3M in seed funding.
  • Wireframe Ventures is leading the round, with participation from Munich Re Ventures, Powerhouse Ventures, Endeavor8 and others.

May is in the books and BlackSky ($BKSY) ran away with it up +99.4%. Satellogic ($SATL) was underperformed the group at -47.4%. We're happy to see some green in a few names after the last few months..
