The 2-hour Cocktail Party (book)

My friend Nick Gray wrote a fantastic book about how to organize a 2-hour cocktail party.

This might not sound like much, but I promise it’s worth your time. A few years ago I used Nick’s methods to organize my own parties, with much success.

I like his books because his instructions are so detailed, specific, and thought out. Yes you can adjust things to your liking, but you often do so at your own peril.

(Also check out his Amazon reviews - it’s full of well known Internet people, great evidence of how well connected Nick is because of the methods from his book.)

Confessions of a Civil Servant (book)

I haven’t read this but it was recommended by a reader and looks very interesting - I don’t know how I could work in government for 30 years, let alone then write a book about it without wanting to blow my brains out. And yet here is such a book!
