It is hard to believe it’s July, and I already feel so behind on some of the plans I set at the beginning of the year. But when I think about it, I’ve made some good progress, especially on the self-care front.

If you feel a similar way, that the year is half over and you maybe haven’t gotten as much done as you’d like, I want you to take a deep breath, close your eyes, and say to yourself, “I’m doing great.”

Doing great can look like this:

Choosing to rest
Putting two things on your task list (waking up and drinking coffee) and accomplishing them
Taking a break
Spending time with your family
Ordering food instead of cooking (or cooking instead of ordering food)
Spending 15 minutes on your business
Having ice cream for lunch
Reading this email (or saving it to read later!)
Planning for the next 6 months
Going for a walk
Making lists
Trying something new
Getting through the day

Whatever it is you could get done this week, this month, this year, and today, no matter how big or small, be proud.

🎧. Listening: Six: The Musical. I have heard rave reviews of this Broadway show telling the story of Henry VIII’s ex-wives. And I even got to play one on stage before. Since I was able to see the musical a few weeks ago (rave reviews well deserved), I have had the soundtrack on repeat! It’s 🔥.

📺. Watching: Chloe. This Amazon thriller is about Becky, who constantly follows Chloe’s life on Instagram. Then Chloe dies, and Becky wants to find out why so she assumes a new identity to fit into Chloe’s world. Will she figure out the truth about Chloe’s life? Dun dun dun. I still have two episodes to go. 😱
