No - There may be reasons to waive interest in specific cases, but as a general rule no. These student loans are adult actions and the kids need to learn that it's time to act like an adult and fulfill their obligations. It makes no sense to subsidize the college educated, who will in time become relatively wealthy. Who pays if the borrower doesn't: the taxpayer! Many of whom are not college educated and are probably making less than those college students will make in just a few years.
