Greetings from Comic-Con! And welcome to a special Saturday edition of Inverse Daily.

Last night, I watched William Shatner sing a song called ‘I want to Be a Tree” on a roof in downtown San Diego while our Senior Staff Writer Eric Francisco had dinner with the cast of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings prequel, The Rings of Power. But don’t worry, we’re also working hard to cover the biggest geek gathering of the year. We’ve already interviewed the team behind Warner’s new video game Gotham Knights and got a sneak peek at Paramount’s Dungeons and Dragons movie.

Coming up next, we’ve got a meeting with movie legend Bruce Campbell, interviews with the cast of Netflix’s Sandman, and, of course, Marvel’s giant Hall H panel to finish off Comic-Con 2022. Read on for all our coverage so far and more.

Watch a new trailer for Amazon's The Rings of Power

Amazon has made waves with another new trailer for The Rings of Power. While the two previous trailers we've seen were heavy on story, this new Comic-Con trailer is heavy on the action. One major detail is the reveal of a Balrog!

The Rings of Power is notoriously one of the most expensive television shows ever made. If there were any doubts that it wouldn’t look like an epic saga worthy of its name, this surely puts those to rest.

Previewing Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

After a shockingly R-rated panel, with plenty of jokes coming from actor Hugh Grant, fans were treated to a hard PG-13 trailer for the newest live-action Dungeons & Dragons movie.

For anyone still shaken by the last high-profile movie adaptation of the tabletop RPG from 2000, fret not. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is shaping up to be a critical hit.

Gotham Knights devs talk the game’s evolving ecosystem

Gotham Knights will have big shoes to fill when it comes to consoles on October 25, 2022.

As a follow-up to the Batman Arkham series, some of the most celebrated superhero video games ever, the game returns to a Gotham mourning the loss of Batman. Players will take control of Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl as they take over as the city’s protectors.

In a San Diego Comic-Con press roundtable, the team discussed the city of Gotham's role in the game and how its residents will react to the player in what the developers call the “Gotham ecosystem.”

Wesley Snipes dives into a cyberpunk apocalypse in The Exiled

Wesley Snipes stars as a burnt-out detective on the trail of a vicious serial killer in a post-apocalypse.

Blade actor Wesley Snipes launched a Kickstarter campaign last month for a graphic novel called The Exiled. Its protagonist Niles "Roach" Washington intentionally bears a striking resemblance to Snipes himself. The hope is to attract interest in other media such as a live-action feature film or a TV anime series.

Inverse spoke to Wesley Snipes and co-writer Adam Lawson to learn about their creative team-up, what readers can expect from Roach’s story, and so much more about The Exiled’s dark world.
