1) you realize you need an actual plan how to market yourself and not just post on socials and hope for the best

This week's tip is great for service-based businesses that offer 1:1s or sessions like photoshoots, coaching, consulting, etc.

Create a Low-Key Referral Program

Think about your own life. How much more likely are you to buy something a friend raves about vs. something that shows up in an ad?

The stats support this: 92% of consumers trust referrals from people they know and people are 4 (FOUR!!) times more likely to buy, when referred by a friend.

Here is an easy way to build a referral program without a software (I can share more about that another day).

How to Do It

For every person who books a session with you, offer them a cash reward/discount for their next session when they refer a friend. You can also throw in a reward or discount for their friend who signs up. All they need to say is who referred them and you're rolling.

It can be as simple as:

"Bring a friend and both get 20€ off your next session."

"Bring a friend and get a 20€ cash reward, when they book an XYZ package."

Just make sure to keep track of referrals in a spreadsheet somewhere for payouts and tax purposes.
