I have to say, to me, it was pretty exciting to see Tesla going from a person in a costume to a real robot performing some tasks, and even walking on stage. I hope they keep the speed of innovation, I can see how Optimus can help with some of the most dangerous or boring tasks for humans.

Tesla AI Day in 23 Minutes (Supercut)
The entire presentation lasted three hours and twenty minutes but here you can see a supercut in just 23 minutes. If you are into technology, software, and robotics, I think the entire presentation is worth watching, if not, this one is still pretty interesting and gives a good idea of what Tesla presented.

Another interesting part of the presentation, instead of using just one video, Tesla uses multiple clips for a given scene in order to label them, giving them more angles and details that won't be possible to extract from one clip only.

Hardware

Cybertruck will be waterproof
According to Elon, the Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to serve briefly as a boat, so it can cross rivers and lakes.

Tesla Vision Update: Replacing Ultrasonic Sensors with Tesla Vision
First, it was the radar, and now Tesla is replacing the ultrasonic sensor, the rounded ones that you see on your bumpers, with pure Vision. Tesla wants to use their cameras and some type of memory of what saw, to understand the objects even when they are really close to the car. While the software transitions into that, new cars without the sensors will have limited or inactive park assist, auto park, summon, and smart summon. I personally don't know if I like the change, it is hard to know objects that are inches away from the car with the new camera setup, and I haven't seen Tesla using the concept of what was there to predict what is there yet, but I guess it should be doable.

A detailed look at the new Energy App in update 2022.36 📹
We mentioned the (needed) revamp of the energy app a week or two ago, now we can see some images and a video of it in action. There we can see how the new app shows the consumption per category (driving, climate, battery conditioning, etc) and a deviation from tri projection. Good work Tesla.
