Binance’s weekly summary 1.1 BNB Chain hacked, over $500 million in funds involved (updating) link 1.2 Binance will start the LUNC burning process link Binance announced on October 3 that the first LUNC fee burning process will begin tomorrow, with a statistical period spanning September 21th to October 2ed. According to community member @chandru tg, around 14.6 billion LUNCs will be burned, totaling to $4.87 million. 1.3 Binance announced that it has supported GLMR as a loanable asset link According to Binance, Binance has added Moonbeam and Moonriver Native Token GLMR to its Loan platform as loanable assets, according to Binance. 1.4 Binance will cancel HNT leveraged trading pairs and spot trading pairs link On October 8, it was officially announced that Binance will stop full-position, posit-by-position leveraged trading pairs HNT/BUSD, HNT/USDT on October 12 at 11:00, and spot trading pairs HNT/BTC and HNT/USDT on October 14 at 11:00 2. Sushi swap’s weekly summary 2.1 Sushi DAO votes Jared Gray as the new CEO link Background: Sushi was launched in August 2020, and TVL momentarily surpassed Uniswap following the successful Liquidity mining Vampire attack. Under the guidance of a team led by 0xMaki, Sushi established its position as a top DEX in early 2021. 0xMaki left his in September 2021 and Sushi was struggling within months with operational inefficiencies, internal power battles, and the botched Frog Nation acquisition. So, the choice of a new CEO was critical, and the Sushi community took it extremely seriously. News:On October 3rd, following the results of the Sushi DAO governance vote, Jared Gray was elected as the CEO of Sushi DAO with more than 83% of the vote. Mr Gray, one of five candidates for Sushi’s CEO position, earned 11 million of the 13 million votes cast by governance token holders. 2.2 GoldenTree disclosed that it has held $5.3 million worth of SushiSwap governance tokens link On October 5, GoldenTree published a post on the SushiSwap community forum outlining strategies related to SushiSwap and its governance tokens. In addition, GoldenTree’s post posted a link to an Ethereum address beginning with “0x9C2” that contains about 3 million SUSHI tokens, worth about $5.3 million, that data on the chain shows were added to the address 22 days ago. 3. ETH’s weekly summary 3.1 Ethereum account Proposal EIP-4337 adds signature aggregation, which reduces data cost for Rollups link On October 3, Vitalik Buterin tweeted that the Ethereum account abstraction proposal IPP-4337, which he co-sponsored in September 2021, has recently been updated with signature aggregation, incorporating the BLS signature algorithm. Account Abstraction is used to reduce complexity and improve efficacy by removing extraneous elements from the account system. 3.2 The Aave DAO tends to redeploy its latest version on Ethereum link The Aave DAO has started voting on how to best deploy its latest version of Aave on the Ethereum network. So far, the majority of votes have been cast in support of generating a new version rather than improving the present one. This method is speedier, however it may result in liquidity dispersion. So far, 99% of votes are in support of deploying the new Aave v3 on Ethereum rather than upgrading the prior version. The voting period will conclude on October 11 at 6:00 a.m. (EST). 3.3 Vitalik’s new article:How much can we constrain builders without bringing back heavy burdens to proposers? link On 3th October, Vitalik published a new article, giving one logical response to builder centralization dangers (censorship, economic exploitation) is to limit their power. Builders who win an auction would have less authority to create the entire block. This capability should be adequate to capture practically all MEV and other PBS advantages, but it should be reduced to minimise misuse. Instead of auctioning off the right to decide everything in a block, auction off the right to decide some things, where those “some things” could be much more nuanced than “the builder chooses the first half of the block and not the second”: you could give the builder the right to reorder, prepend, append, and you could even constrain the proposer. This post discusses different approaches and their drawbacks. 4. MakerDao’s weekly summary 4.1 MakerDAO has allocated 500m DAI, 80% to US Treasuries and 20% to corporate bonds link Background:As previously reported, MakerDAO announced the progress of several proposals concerning MakerDAO’s income diversification in recent months. Among them, MIP65 proposal concerning liquid bond strategy and execution was passed by 71.19% voter turnout. News:On 6th October, MakerDAO officially implemented MIP65 and has allocated 500 million DAI to invest in US Treasury bills and corporate bonds, 80% of which will be bought US Treasury bills and the remaining 20% will be bought investment grade corporate bonds. 4. 2 The address marked NEXO has transfered 7758.8 WBTS from MakerDAO link News:The PeckShieldA monitor showed that the address labeled NEXO 0x8fd had withdrawn 7,758.8 WBTC (approximately $151 million) from MakerDAO, representing approximately 50% of the WBTC held in MakerDao prior to the withdrawal. Comments: The community has voiced great displeasure with NEXO’s activities, with some members even worrying if NEXO will be the next Celsius. The primary reason is that club members have calculated that the chance of NEXO going bankrupt is considerable. link 5. Opensea’s weekly summary 5.1 OpenSea online bulk launch and purchase link On October 5, OpenSea officially supported bulk listings and purchases, with users now able to list and purchase up to 30 items in a single transaction flow on OpenSea. 5.2 TwitterScan Pass was taken down by Opensea following a Unstoppable complaint In response to the removal of TwitterScan Pass from Opensea, the TwitterScan owners stated in a statement that Opensea got a complaint from NFT domain provider Unstoppable, but removed the series without fully comprehending the circumstances. 5.3 NFT deal aggregator Gem has support OpenSea OpenRarity rare degree link On October 8, NFT trade aggregator Gem’s Lead developer Vasa revealed on social media that users can now self-search the metadata, price, and ranking of any NFT collections or any specific item on Gem using the “Refresh” feature. In addition, the Gem has support OpenRarity OpenSea NFT rare degree of open standards. 6. NoirAztec Network launches zero knowledge anguage Noir link On October 8th, Aztec Network, a privacy and capacity expansion solution based on ZK Rollup, announced the launch of Noir, a zero-knowledge proof language. Noir is a RUST-based domain-specific language (DSL) for creating and validating zero-knowledge proofs. Aztec Network also released two new Typescript libraries, NoirJS and Barretenberg.js. 7. Gitcoin will launch the Grants Protocol, which allows any community to initiate a grant program link On October 8, Gitcoin announced the launch of Grants Protocol, a tool currently in closed beta that allows any community to launch its own grant program with community decisions, while existing Gitcoin Grants will continue to operate as a Web3 public good. In the coming months, Gitcoin will begin an initial round of grants with its design partners. 8. APE’s weekly summary 8.1 Otherside’s first mini game “Flappy Koda” link On October 8th, the Otherside community announced the release of its first mini-game, “Flappy Koda,” which was developed by KG_OG, owner of the virtual plot Otherdeed, in collaboration with Twitter user OtherskinsXYZ. Inspired by the popular mobile game Flappy Bird, Flappy Koda is not based on an animated virtual bird, but instead features the Koda. 8.2 Yuga Labs started Bored Ape and Mutant Ape community committees link On October 4, Yuga Labs announced that the community council will be representative of Bored Ape (BAYC) and Mutant Ape (MAYC) NFT series. Improbable’s latest round valued it at $3.36bn, up from its 2018 valuation of $2.8bn. 9.GameStop partnered with Kiraverse to launch Web3 Gaming platform link GameStop NFT announced that it was collaborating with the Kiraverse NFT to create a Web3-based gaming venue that allows gamers to earn revenue while playing games, Kiraverse players can purchase their GameStop NFT-based wallet by connecting it to the Kirestop NFTS and access existing wallets in the GameStop market. 10. Samsung launches the “House of Sam” metaverse experience on Decentraland link News: Companies in Samsung Latin America will establish a space called House of Sam on Decentraland, which will allow users to engage virtually with different products from the brand and win rewards from Samsung by playing minigames. Comments: On Oct 8, the Ethereum-based virtual metauniverse Decentraland had 38 active users in the last 24 hours (an active user is defined as a unique wallet address interacting with a platform smart contract), according to DappRadar. The data also show that the maximum daily number of Decentraland users is 675. Despite lower user metrics, Decentraland is still working to build the Metaverse and operating community, and it’s worth going along with further data changes.
